Good morning! I hope you are having a good week so far (is it really on Tuesday??)! I am so excited about todays guest blogger! Her name is Juli and she blogs at PaleoOMG, which you should totally check out for some awesome Paleo recipes! She is super witty (jealous!) and fun to read. She is also a die hard Crossfit fan, which makes us both insane and a teeny bit extreme! Thanks Juli!!
My name is Juli Bauer and my whole life is tied to CrossFit. I think about it when I wake up, I dream about it while I sleep, and I talk about it incessantly to anyone who will listen. My heart is with CrossFit. It has impacted my life more than I ever thought anything would. It has changed my outlook on diet, it has altered my perception on beauty, and it has made me the healthiest person I have ever been.
When I found CrossFit and the Paleo Diet, working out for vanity went out the door. It became all about being stronger, being faster, being better. And the Paleo Diet helped me reach those goals. I stopped feeling sick and bloated all the time from the mass amounts of low fat crackers and yogurts I ate. I stopped hating myself every time I looked in the mirror. And I stopped thinking that all I needed was to be skinny. I didn’t want to be skinny anymore. I wanted to be strong. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do the impossible.
Before CrossFit and the Paleo Diet, I never knew that I could snatch 95lbs. I never knew that I could do a muscle up. And I never knew that I could literally change my day by picking up a barbell. CrossFit gave me something. It gave me purpose. It gave me heart. And those two small things have transferred over into everything I do.
I walk into the gym now, every day, knowing full well that I will be stronger than yesterday. That I will do something great and be a better person because of it. And because CrossFit has made me feel like becoming a better person, I have put that energy into the blog I write.

PaleOMG is my free recipe website where I share my stories of life in the gym world as well as my recipes with the Paleo community. I want people to feel as good as I do inside and out. I want people to know that living a healthy lifestyle is easier than any of the bull that fills tv infomercials. And I want people to understand that a few diet changes can make a world of difference with their health. That is why I blog. Because if I can introduce just one person to the Paleo Diet and help them feel better, I know I have served some kind of purpose on this earth. And that’s pretty wicked cool.
